I'm ridding myself of Natasha once and for all, because the character has become so jumpy with all of my fill-ins over the years that there's NO POSSIBLE WAY that we could keep our beloved image of her (Purity Sue that she was) AND allow me to change her into the character I truly want her to be, all within a few weeks / months. It would be too confusing. We have a set idea of who Natasha is in our minds, along with Jade, Miranda, and Alexandra. She cannot be otherwise. I've tried to make it work; it doesn't. She's too set in stone. Thus, she's taking a hiatus.
However, we still have the Ashori House as a staple on Ani, and we all adore Diana (she IS a bit of a mascot XD). However, my character won't be living in the Ashori House, she'll probably live in the Enchanted Forest... as such, we came across a slight problem. There are two options that we came up with (any other ideas would be great, too
1) Ashori House is an abandoned mansion on the beach, and a home base for the Anians (as it's always been). However, since no one permanently lives in it, we can be likely to have other randoms coming in and out, thus providing interesting plot boards and comedic moments.
2) (This is the one Britt came up with and I expanded on) Since we are all (mostly) of-age now, Ashori House can become the Ashori Tavern. Still a home base where the Anians meet up, it will be run by an old woman with scraggly white hair, amber eyes and warts named Diana, who lives a double life as a "protector" of the Anians (giving them advice, aid and riddles in the form of a white cat, which she can shapeshift in to) and has her own mysterious secrets. Since the Anians would obviously become close to Diana, from being there so often, she could give them work and a place to stay when they're down and out, and could even slowly reveal the 'secrets' of the Tavern (including it's many hidden rooms, passages, invisible floors and contraptions). The Tavern can have all sorts of interesting facets that the Ashori House doesn't currently have, since other passersby would leave things behind, and ANYONE can go in... there could be a huge variety of comedic and plot-motivated moments. And if all else fails, the cook can be the Fat Chef (Oh. My. God.
